Project Background
Maeving is a multi-award-winning British electric motorcycle brand reimagining urban motorcycling through beautifully designed, zero-emission, retro-inspired bikes.
The company approached Odillo looking for a way to elevate the final stage of its customer journey, specifically the purchase and handover experience of new bikes.
The aim was to create a premium unboxing experience that reflects the craftsmanship of the motorcycles, while reinforcing Maeving’s position as a modern brand rooted in retro heritage. The packaging also needed to protect and present the bike keys in a considered way.
Solutions
Working with the brand team, we developed a bespoke shoulder box designed to transform the handover into a refined brand experience and unique unboxing moment.
The keys are neatly presented within a precision-cut foam insert, ensuring they are both securely held and neatly displayed. Inside the lid, a contrasting colourway creates impact on opening, featuring Maeving’s ‘Charge On’ strapline as a clear brand detail.
Sustainability was considered from the outset, in line with Maeving’s 100% electric ethos. Rather than adding unnecessary layers or excess packaging, the solution was designed to be efficient and eco-friendly.
The use of custom fitments played a key role in this approach, reducing waste by ensuring every element had a defined purpose and fit, eliminating the need for additional materials.

The final packaging solution delivers a premium handover experience with considered material use, proving that sustainability and elevated design can work together without compromise.
The result is simple yet powerful Unboxing Moments® which reinforces Maeving’s brand and visual identity.
