Project Background

Founded in 1972, The Great Frog is an iconic jewellery brand rooted in rock’n’roll heritage. They approached us looking to evolve the packaging into a cohesive black suite that felt timeless yet unapologetically bold - true to its identity. The goal was to create an elevated unboxing experience that perfectly reflected its daring brand.

It required a thoughtful suite of packaging, including a ring box, drawstring pouches and e-commerce shipping boxes - each designed to work seamlessly together.

Our Solution

We developed a cohesive black packaging suite that captured The Great Frog’s unmistakable rock’n’roll aesthetic while maintaining a timeless, premium feel. Every element was carefully considered to ensure consistency across materials, finishes and detailing.

The ring box was crafted with a tactile textured finish, whilst cotton drawstring pouches provided a softer contrast while maintaining the bold, all-black look. Working closely with the client, we refined the material choices to better reflect their needs - switching from smooth velvet pouches to natural cotton drawstring pouches, a more environmentally friendly option.

In addition, we utilised our innovative FoldForm® space-saving design to create a bespoke black corrugated e-commerce shipping box. Designed for efficiency without compromising on quality, it allows effortless storage and quick assembly. We also incorporated a bespoke fitment that perfectly holds the ring box in place, ensuring it arrives safely at the customer’s door.

Each element within the suite also featured an embossed silver foil logo - elevating every touchpoint and ensuring the packaging perfectly reflected their distinctive aesthetic.

Results and Impact

The result was a striking, cohesive packaging suite that perfectly reflected The Great Frog’s bold identity and delivered a memorable unboxing experience. Bespoke fitments and FoldForm® e-commerce boxes ensured jewellery arrived safely, while minimising material waste and maintaining a premium, luxurious feel.

Embossed silver foil logos and textured finishes reinforced brand consistency and elevated the perceived quality of every element. Overall, the new packaging enhanced customer satisfaction, strengthened brand recognition, and achieved the elevated, design-led experience the client had set out to create.
