What Board Grade Should You Use?

Depending on what you are shipping, board grades play an important part in protecting your items.

But which is the best option?

We break it down for you here:

E-flute
1-1.5mm thickness

Durable and crush-resistant, E-flute is ideal for small boxes and especially well suited to letterbox-friendly designs. The ability to print directly on this material, coupled with its clay-coated surface, provides a smooth finish for your design.

B-flute
3mm thickness

This is the most common grade for postal boxes as it helps absorb impact during shipping. It can be used across a wide range of box styles and can also be printed, but the finish isn't quite as smooth as E-flute.

EB
4-4.5mm thickness

This is a combination of E-flute and B-flute, giving you the best of both. With the strength of both flutes, it's the perfect option for shipping fragile or heavy items. Certain box styles are even strong enough that you can stand on them!
If you're still not sure what is the best option for you don't worry, we have our experts on hand to guide you through every step of the process.
